Eden Compton Studio and Gallery

The Gallery at 79 Beekman Street, Saratoga Springs, is both a fine art exhibition gallery and Eden’s personal studio where she paints her portrait commisssions and landscape/cityscape paintings. She also teaches private art lessons for children and adults in the studio space and outdoors in the adjoining garden area. The gallery features several group shows per year with both local and nationally known artists. Receptions are held thoughtout the year.

Located at 143 Grand Ave at the corner of Beekman Street, in the north end of the Arts District, Textile Studio is housed in a building which dates back to 1850. After major renovation, Cecilia Frittelli and Richard Lockwood opened their studio and gallery in 2009. A husband and wife team, they have been involved with textiles for decades. They started their business in New York City in the 80’s and sold to specialty shops and galleries across the country, many of which still carry their line of scarves and neckties today.

At Textile Studio, visitors can browse the handwoven collection of Frittelli & Lockwood apparel and accessories for men, women, and home while watching weavers at the vintage Macomber looms. The American-spun yarns they weave include silk, merino, alpaca, and chenille, with a special emphasis on eco-friendly fibers from bamboo, hemp, and soy. Custom orders are welcome and weaving classes are offered seasonally.

Open to the public Wednesdays through Fridays and most Saturdays from 12-5, they can also open by appointment at other times.

Located at 60 Beekman Street, Khymanyo Studio in Saratoga Springs was established in 1986 by fashion designer Kim Vanyo. Kim trained in Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, and specializes in custom clothing and costuming, with an expertise in dance costumes. Khymanyo Studio also designs bridal gowns, headpieces, veils, and offers alteration services.

Khymanyo Studio also designs and produces a ready-to-wear line under the label “Kimism” – a collection of well crafted separates with an artistic edge that are available in fine boutiques or by appointment at the studio.

Hours are by appointment. You may make an appointment to sit down with Kim and have her introduce you to a fine inventory of fabric and trims. After 30 years in the garment business, Kim has a wealth of knowledge in sourcing to meet a clients’ wishes!

Located upstairs at 79 Beekman Street, in the heart of Saratoga’s Art District, the Beekman Artist Studios provide studio space for local painters, sculptors, and potters. The creative energy and interaction among Studio artists inspires us to embrace new ideas, take risks and produce original new work.

Artists studios are open to the public every other Friday during the summer or by appointment.
