Amejo Wyn Amyot, PHD

More than an artist, I am a creator. The process of making something beautiful or inspiring is more important to me than the finished product. Creating from my source, is the greatest blessing of making art.

For 20 years I was a clay sculptor and created women in all her Goddess forms. Later I began to sculpt birds, especially crows. Birds represent our souls and are our teachers.

I began painting when I was in high school and have continued off and on ever since, more than 60 years.

In the past 10 years, I’ve been drawn to intuitive painting, mixed media, color mixing, and other forms of experimental 2D works. I am still looking for my painting voice and trusting that my intuition is really the teacher and guide of all I create.

I have taught painting and clay sculpture over the years and in 2001, founded the Arts District on Beekman in Saratoga Springs, NY. The arts district continues to this day.
